Music at Northside

Music is central to Worship at Northside. We affirm, as the Presbyterian Directory for Worship puts it well, that "song is a response which engages the whole self in prayer."
Our choir is filled with talented musicians and is led by Joseph Kozma-Cruz. Joseph, a gifted music student at Eastern Michigan University, brings a wealth of musical craft and energy to our worship. Each Sunday, we are greatly blessed to hear him set the table for our worship experience on our Young Chang grand piano.
Our choir members include folks of all ranges of abilities. We sing sacred music from a variety of styles, including classical, gospel, and traditional hymns. Some members sing solos; many also play instruments (e.g. flute, guitar, violin). We also have a lot of fun in the process!
