Music
Music is also
central to our style of worship. The Presbyterian Directory
for Worship states: "Song is a response which engages
the whole self in prayer." You will find that here at Northside.
Our choir is filled with talented musicians and is led by David
Schober. David, a doctoral student in music composition at
the University of Michigan School of Music, brings a wealth
of musical craft and strong faith to our worship.
Our choir members include folks of all ranges of abilities,
and we sing sacred music from a variety of styles, including
classical, gospel, and traditional hymns. Some members also play
instruments (e.g. flute, guitar, violin) or sing solos, so
there is a wide variety of ways that you can contribute musically.
We also have a lot of fun
in the process!
